This is a really nice theme. Tell me about the font trick you used :)
I just noticed it has a minor alignment issue are the search bar in IE 7.
9:45 pm on September 16th, 2008
For the font I used sIFR3.
Thanks for pointing that glitch out. I will fix that in a new version probably. Its too small to fix now.
7:06 am on September 17th, 2008
There's problem with turkish characters in sIFR . I cant see the characters . How can i solve it ? With the flv file ? Can you pls upload the fagocotf.flv . I didnt see it in theme . Or can you upload the new swf file with utf-8 characters ?
6:40 pm on September 17th, 2008
Deniz, the font supports some UTF-8 characters but not all.
My suggestion is to strip the theme of all the sIFR3 javascript and use the theme without it. All the titles and colors will remain almost the same. It will still look good.
12:34 pm on September 18th, 2008
When I apply the theme to my website, the dates don't work properly- all posts made within the same month all show the same date. I'm using the latest version of wordpress, and the version of the site I tested it on only had the very basic widgets (I always test on another site before I apply a theme to my blog).
Is there a way that I can fix this??
1:10 pm on September 18th, 2008
OK, I worked out how to fix it… I changed the 'php the time' tag things in the php templates from 'm' and 'M' to 'j' and 'M'
11:33 am on September 19th, 2008
Hi, great theme…I love it!
I would like to create some images for my site with the font you used for the title. Can you please tell me where I can find that font?
11:43 am on September 19th, 2008
Here is the font:

I love this theme very much. I changed the width a little by myself. I think it will be better if someone can provide a header picture. Now the right top conor looks too empty.
11:05 pm on September 23rd, 2008
Finally, I give up this theme. The speed is too slow. I think maybe sIFR is not a good enough so far.
11:24 pm on September 23rd, 2008
You can delete the javascript files from the header and it will not use sIFR anymore.
6:15 am on September 25th, 2008
about date on a left side. no matter in witch date a post a message, there are "09 Sept".
10:28 am on September 25th, 2008
I have the same version on the preview page and I don't have a problem with the date.
See if the date is ok in the article.
This is a strange problem.
11:25 am on September 25th, 2008
Hi, beat and GlamourGaby.
About the date, the reason is:
In file:index.php, find line:
you should change it to:
Also repeat what you do in file single.php
11:27 am on September 25th, 2008
ooops…I cannot post the html code here.
just find the string: the_time('m'), and change it to the_time('d')
11:31 am on September 25th, 2008
Oh, damn, I see the problem now.
Both php codes are for the same thing. One shows the month in numeric representation and the other shows the name of it.
I will change it now.
11:44 am on September 25th, 2008
I fixed the theme. Please download it again from the link in the post.
6:23 am on September 26th, 2008
Excellent Theme. Cool trick with the fonts.
2:00 pm on September 26th, 2008
I'm moving to Wordpress.org pretty soon and I loooove this theme.
Have you got any plans to make it work with custom headers, or perhaps a third column? I really want my design to have those two things, so I can put ads off to the side and not have a freakishly long sidebar, and use my little logo at the top. Thoughts?
2:04 pm on September 26th, 2008
A third column or custom header are easy modifications.
I just build them how I think they look good. Its normal that some people have different needs from the theme.
11:33 pm on September 26th, 2008
Hi, nice theme, thanks..
but, i've got little problem..
when i make a new page, there is no comment box..
how can i show the comment box in the new page..
11:48 pm on September 26th, 2008
i've check the allow comment and ping, but still didn't show..
how can i fix it?
3:26 am on September 27th, 2008
Delete the file page.php
10:42 am on September 27th, 2008
Hey GG! Love this theme.
Just discovered an IE6 glitch when doing a final test with several browsers. If you view your theme preview page in 6 (I don't have 7 on my machine, so I don't know if it happens there as well) you need to look at the line under the post title. The categories link takes the last two letters of the link and puts them on the next line even if there is more than enough room on the first line.
Any way of fixing that? 25% of my visitors use IE6, so I like to keep them happy!
4:02 pm on September 27th, 2008
Elle, please download the theme again. I have fixed the bug.
Thanks for telling me.
4:34 pm on September 27th, 2008
Will do! Thank you.
11:46 pm on September 27th, 2008
Hi GlamourGaby,
I just wanted to say thank you so much for the theme. I found it at WordPress and chose it for my new blog/site. I think it looks awesome! I was worried that there wasn't any accreditation for you on the main page, but then saw it at the bottom, with a link and followed it here. :)
Thanks again for sharing it with us. I love the colors!
Here's my site, in case you wish to see what I've done with it so far:

Hi
i like that theme - i used it on familienvertrag.de, a website dealing with modern family politics.
8:35 pm on October 1st, 2008
Well done!! I'm blown away by this theme, there's nothing else even close to it on WP that I have seen. I really, REALLY want to use this because it matches the spirit of my blog so well, but I've noticed that it doesn't look the same in Firefox. What could I do to make it the same across both browsers?
9:04 pm on October 1st, 2008
Hi Gabrielle. Actually it should look the same.
Can you send me two print screens of the two browser you are using?
4:10 am on October 2nd, 2008
Hi Gaby, nice to visit your blog again..
By the way, for this theme, can i have the original one?
I mean, if you made this theme with Photoshop, can I get the .psd file?
Coz I want to change a little with the design..
That's all..
Thx
3:28 pm on October 2nd, 2008
Ahmm… I don't think I have the psd anymore :P
Strange, but I can't find it.
I must of deleted my "bella" work directory when I finished the coding.
5:56 pm on October 3rd, 2008
ok - i am trying to use this for my very first website - so anyone can answer this question. please bear with me as i have very little coding experience, and i appreciate any help.
and thanks so much for theme - its beautiful!
i wanted to take off the time and date stamp, and i think i did that right.
however, i can get pages to work just fine. but i have made a post and put it in a category, but when i click on the link to the category from the side panel all i get is a blank page. any advice?
5:58 pm on October 3rd, 2008
i forgot to add that when i click on view post, the them page comes up but my content comes up as an error
6:03 pm on October 3rd, 2008
What did you set your permalinks to?
6:23 pm on October 3rd, 2008
did i mention i didnt know what i was going ;)?
I didnt set them to anything
6:43 pm on October 3rd, 2008
The link to your catory is like this:
.comcategory/uncategorized
You are missing an extra "/" there. Like this:
.com/category/uncategorized
So somewhere you added or changed something.
5:09 pm on October 9th, 2008
New to WordPress but love this theme. I've installed it on my site, but it doesn't look right in Firefox - I don't seem to get any date or post title on my postings.
Also my links, eg the Right Hand "a blog is born" seems to be broken too.
Could all be my fault, being a complete novice at this!
10:59 pm on October 9th, 2008
The date looks fine to me :)
12:56 am on October 13th, 2008
Thanks for sharing! I love this theme! :)
4:26 am on October 13th, 2008
I've taken a screenshot to illustrate the lack of date and title. (Note: although it's quite obvious, this is Firefox 3.0 on a Mac. It seems to be OK on Safari on the same Mac and Firefox on my PC)
Screenshot: http://img504.imageshack.us/my.php?image=picture1cr0.png
7:29 am on October 13th, 2008
That might be a sIFR3 problem.
I think the best way is to delete the javascript lines from the header. That way the theme will revert to normal text and should show normal in all browsers.
11:10 am on October 16th, 2008
This theme is perfect for my cartoons, but with Fago font I don't see some characters, as à, è. é, ì, ò, ù, who are most used in italian language.
How can I resolve?
Thanks and compliments.
gianfalco
12:33 pm on October 16th, 2008
Yes that is a problem.
The fastest solution would be to disable sIFR from replacing the text with another font.
Another solution would be to find another font that support diacritics. If you find such a font I would happy to help you out to switch the fonts.
8:34 pm on October 16th, 2008
Gorgeous theme!
I'm a newbie and will greatly appreciate any one guiding me to the right instructions on how to add an image for a header.
THANK YOU!
8:39 pm on October 16th, 2008
Open the header.php file and insert your code instead of the h1 and h2 tags.
10:12 pm on October 16th, 2008
Thanks a lot. I'm working on it now.
I have another ? in regards to posting comments. My settings are unchecked for comment moderation, still, how do I remove the "you must be logged in to comment" so that my blog visitors can comment without an account?
I promise I'll leave you alone after this one. :)
10:15 pm on October 16th, 2008
You don't remove it. You just uncheck it and save the changes.
2:14 pm on October 18th, 2008
Hi there!
I'm a wp newbie, so forgive me if my problem sounds kinda dumb.
I just installed your amazing theme, but like Taufan, I can't find the comment box and older comments.
I read your tip to delete the file page.php, but I can't find it in the theme folder. Where's it?
Thanks! ;-)
3:11 pm on October 18th, 2008
The files of the theme are in wp-content/themes/Bella/
6:18 pm on October 18th, 2008
Thanks for your quick answer, but there's no page.php in wp-content/themes/Bella/. What can I do?
5:43 am on October 19th, 2008
What exactly are you trying to do?
Because I didn't quite understand.
9:02 am on October 19th, 2008
Sorry if it's confusing, english is not my first language. I'll try to explain myself again: I installed your theme yesterday, but when I entered in the comment area, I can't see the box to make a comment or older comments (it just show the newest one). I read here that, to solve this kind of problem with comments, I had to delete the "page.php" file, but there's no "page.php" in the Bella's folder.
So my question is: How can I fix this?
Thank you so much for your help!
9:07 am on October 19th, 2008
You entered the comment area where?
The admin panel? In an article url? In a page url?
Your blog is not working so I can't check.
12:52 pm on October 19th, 2008
You can check now, the blog is working.
Not the admin panel, I mean the link to make a new comment, but the article url will show you the problem too.
For example here: http://romantically.net/blog/?p=429
There's 3 responses but I can only see the newest. And there's no box to make a new comment.
Thanks!
12:58 pm on October 19th, 2008
You must of edited something and you edited it wrong.
Copy the theme again and replace the file comments.php with the one you have in your theme directory.
If that doesn't help then I can't help you.
The problem is from something you edited or installed.
2:50 pm on October 19th, 2008
Ok, I'll try that.
Thanks for your help. ;-)
2:53 pm on October 19th, 2008
Excelent theme! Mi wife love it.
But the trick font (fffago) doesnt work very much with spanish characters: á, é, í, ó, ú and ñ.
¿What can i do, how can i change the font, or the sIFR3, or the fla?
I don't won't simply "delete de java strip", becose is "glamorous"
Please!

2:56 pm on October 19th, 2008
AS I said in a recent comment. If you find a font that you like and that support those characters then I can help you change the .swf file that has the font and we can see if it will work.
8:07 am on October 23rd, 2008
Thank you for this theme! I will try it on my blog: I have just started and hope it will suite, especially translation!
4:48 am on October 26th, 2008
Seem to have a Javascript issue with this theme on Firefox 3.0.2 on Linux. It doesn't replace the titles correctly or display the dates. From the Javascript console I get this error (repeated loads):-
Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Cannot convert WrappedNative to function" nsresult: "0x8057000d (NS_ERROR_XPC_CANT_CONVERT_WN_TO_FUN)" location: "JS frame :: http://www.yarwood.net/wp-content/themes/bella/js/sifr.js :: anonymous :: line 18" data: no]
If I disable Javascript the initial titles are placed correctly and look ok. That said the themes looks alright on IE and Firefox under Windows.
4:50 am on October 26th, 2008
I guess you will have to remove the javascript lines from the header and footer then. That way the theme won't use sIFR anymore.
7:56 pm on October 26th, 2008
El diseño de la plantilla es EXCELENTE. MUY BUEN CRITERIO. Me surgieron dudas por la tipografia utilizada, que realmente también me llamó mucho la atención la misma y el tratamiento para aplicarla en el theme…
Realmente MUY BUENO. :D
Saludo!
2:27 pm on October 28th, 2008
Hi GG-
Love the theme but for some reason when I installed it all that shows up on my site is the header, the date, the vertical color bar on the side and one horizontal bar. I am on a Mac and the file I downloaded said "pc zip file". Would this make a difference?
2:59 pm on October 28th, 2008
Upgrade your wordpress installation.

thank you! that solved the problem :)

Hi GlamourGaby!
Subject: opaque+lightview+wmode
My problem is with the file '.swf'
I need to make it transparent to work properly with the application 'Lightview'
I have tried to change the attribute 'z-index' and 'transparent' in the archives '.css' and '.js' but I have not achieved the desired results.
Thank you in advance for your attention and I congratulate him on his design.

Hey Gaby. I didn't hear back from you from email so I figured i'd comment here. Again….GREAT theme…simple, effective, colorful. beautiful. But i have two issues. The first and most important of the two is that about 25% of the time the headers don't show up. I'm assuming that's because there's javascript to change the look of the headers? Do you know of this problem? anyone else having it? and the second is that i just activated the Lightbox 2 plugin for Wordpress. Whenever the lightbox pops up, the image goes behind the headers. Also, probably because of the coding somehow. If you know of these issues and/or have a solution, please let me know as i love your theme and would really like to keep it.

Is Bella incompatible with Dum-Dum? I'm using WP 2.6.1, and while I can use Dum-Dum without any problems, I've attempted to load Bella twice but it doesn't show up in my theme control panel…
5:15 am on November 13th, 2008
You can't ask if Bella is compatible or not with Dum-Dum, it has no sense. They are two different themes.
Bella should show up in your themes directory. See if you have uploaded all the files and the directory structure is like this:
/wp-content/themes/bella

Hi, great work with the theme.
How do I make the backgrounds to the text transparent?
I'm using a background image and I don't want the white boxes.
Thanks!
10:03 pm on December 1st, 2008
hi glamourgaby, fantastic work! how do i change the background to the same white colour as seen in your preview though? after installing i see the white boxes surrounding all the titles but the background is transparent, need to change that as white background makes my blog more readable. appreciate it!
6:47 am on December 2nd, 2008
hey there! really nice theme u got here ;) I would just like to ask if how many widgets can be placed in the sidebar? i tried putting 8 text widgets but only 4 remained after saving it.
7:37 am on December 2nd, 2008
@Chris
Please give me a URL so I can see how the theme look in your site and what the problem is.
@Maye
The theme doesn't restrict the number of widgets you can put in the sidebar.
Maybe its a problem from your wp installation.
1:46 am on December 3rd, 2008
I'm using WP version 2.6.2. Do I need to upgrade to 2.6.5?
8:38 am on December 3rd, 2008
You don't NEED to but its always good to upgrade to the latest version, because old versions have security flaws.
