There's problem with turkish characters in sIFR . I cant see the characters . How can i solve it ? With the flv file ? Can you pls upload the fagocotf.flv . I didnt see it in theme . Or can you upload the new swf file with utf-8 characters ?

Deniz, the font supports some UTF-8 characters but not all.
My suggestion is to strip the theme of all the sIFR3 javascript and use the theme without it. All the titles and colors will remain almost the same. It will still look good.

When I apply the theme to my website, the dates don't work properly- all posts made within the same month all show the same date. I'm using the latest version of wordpress, and the version of the site I tested it on only had the very basic widgets (I always test on another site before I apply a theme to my blog).
Is there a way that I can fix this??

I'm moving to Wordpress.org pretty soon and I loooove this theme.
Have you got any plans to make it work with custom headers, or perhaps a third column? I really want my design to have those two things, so I can put ads off to the side and not have a freakishly long sidebar, and use my little logo at the top. Thoughts?

A third column or custom header are easy modifications.
I just build them how I think they look good. Its normal that some people have different needs from the theme.

Hey GG! Love this theme.
Just discovered an IE6 glitch when doing a final test with several browsers. If you view your theme preview page in 6 (I don't have 7 on my machine, so I don't know if it happens there as well) you need to look at the line under the post title. The categories link takes the last two letters of the link and puts them on the next line even if there is more than enough room on the first line.
Any way of fixing that? 25% of my visitors use IE6, so I like to keep them happy!

Well done!! I'm blown away by this theme, there's nothing else even close to it on WP that I have seen. New to WordPress but love this theme. I've installed it on my site, but it doesn't look right in Firefox – I don't seem to get any date or post title on my postings.
Also my links, eg the Right Hand "a blog is born" seems to be broken too.

I've taken a screenshot to illustrate the lack of date and title. (Note: although it's quite obvious, this is Firefox 3.0 on a Mac. It seems to be OK on Safari on the same Mac and Firefox on my PC)

That might be a sIFR3 problem.
I think the best way is to delete the javascript lines from the header. That way the theme will revert to normal text and should show normal in all browsers.

This theme is perfect for my cartoons, but with Fago font I don't see some characters, as à, è. é, ì, ò, ù, who are most used in italian language.
How can I resolve?

Yes that is a problem.
The fastest solution would be to disable sIFR from replacing the text with another font.
Another solution would be to find another font that support diacritics. If you find such a font I would happy to help you out to switch the fonts.

Sorry if it's confusing, english is not my first language. I'll try to explain myself again: I installed your theme yesterday, but when I entered in the comment area, I can't see the box to make a comment or older comments (it just show the newest one). I read here that, to solve this kind of problem with comments, I had to delete the "page.php" file, but there's no "page.php" in the Bella's folder.
So my question is: How can I fix this?

You must of edited something and you edited it wrong.
Copy the theme again and replace the file comments.php with the one you have in your theme directory.
If that doesn't help then I can't help you.
The problem is from something you edited or installed.

Excelent theme! Mi wife love it.
But the trick font (fffago) doesnt work very much with spanish characters: á, é, í, ó, ú and ñ.

Seem to have a Javascript issue with this theme on Firefox 3.0.2 on Linux. It doesn't replace the titles correctly or display the dates. From the Javascript console I get this error (repeated loads):-

If I disable Javascript the initial titles are placed correctly and look ok. That said the themes looks alright on IE and Firefox under Windows.

Love the theme but for some reason when I installed it all that shows up on my site is the header, the date, the vertical color bar on the side and one horizontal bar. I am on a Mac and the file I downloaded said "pc zip file". Would this make a difference?

Hey Gaby. I didn't hear back from you from email so I figured i'd comment here. Again….GREAT theme…simple, effective, colorful. beautiful. But i have two issues. The first and most important of the two is that about 25% of the time the headers don't show up. I'm assuming that's because there's javascript to change the look of the headers? Do you know of this problem? anyone else having it? and the second is that i just activated the Lightbox 2 plugin for Wordpress. Whenever the lightbox pops up, the image goes behind the headers. Also, probably because of the coding somehow. If you know of these issues and/or have a solution, please let me know as i love your theme and would really like to keep it.

Is Bella incompatible with Dum-Dum? I'm using WP 2.6.1, and while I can use Dum-Dum without any problems, I've attempted to load Bella twice but it doesn't show up in my theme control panel…

You can't ask if Bella is compatible or not with Dum-Dum, it has no sense. They are two different themes.
Bella should show up in your themes directory. See if you have uploaded all the files and the directory structure is like this:

Love the theme. I think I messes it up though, I tweaked the coding so it doesn't show the category of an entry and removed the "pages" from the sidebar. Now, when I try to access the page on different computers the titles for the entries and sidebar don't appear sometimes. But this other blog, swipesomegloss.com that uses the same theme,there's no problem with regards to titles appearing for her page. Help!

If you want to disable the sIFR then open header.php and delete anything that mentions sifr. You will have 2 css files, some css directly under that, then 2 js files and then some more javascript code under that.

nevermind, I just studied how the sidebar() works and I managed to create a 3 column bella that works perfectly fine in IE or firefox browser. But of course the credits is still yours, I did not remove it.. I will let you show our site when its finished coz right there's no content and not ready to public.

it seems my initial comment was not submitted:
I have an issue displaying Search boxes and submit buttons for widgets in the Sidebar (not the WP original search form).
the search boxes are all white, on a white background, hence do not show.
the submit buttons are very very small
This is in FireFox 3.08 only, in IE7 it works alright.
Please let me know how to fix this.

Hi, I love your theme and recently started using it on my site, but I've noticed that old comments with individual pages aren't showing up. The bubble says how many comments there are, but they don't show up. Comment for individual blog entries work just fine. Any ideas of how I can fix this? The input and buttons problem is because I use a css reset at the beginning of the css file. If you apply a bit of css to the inputs and the buttons in the sidebar then it will look great. Add some borders and some padding to them and they will look the same as normal.

The font size for the titles can be changed from header.php

1. I see you already did some modifications to the theme. May I recommend that you change the tags class, from the css file, to 400pixels? I think it will look better.
2. Open header.php, delete the h1 and h2 tags and put the code of an image there. The code looks like this:

There are 2 ways, you either disable the sIFR from the theme by deleting the JavaScript lines for sIFR or you create your own swf file of the font and include those characters in the swf file. You can do this by downloading the sIFR package and editing the raw .fla file with Macromedia Flash.

If you need another column then you edit the css file a bit and you make the .all class lets say 970pixels.
Then you edit sidebar.php copy everything in there and duplicate it at the end of the file and then edit the content as you like. I hope that works. Hopefully :P

Thanks for your great theme. I'm having the same problem as Stephanie: comments don't work on pages. When I downloaded the Bella theme it didn't come with a pages.php file. In fact, I uploaded a pages.php file from another theme, and the comments worked (but of course the formatting was messed up). Thoughts?

GlamourGaby can you tell us how to make swf file with custopm font. I've tried to do this but only what i can se is "Bold Italic Normal" text generated in all sIFR swf files :/

Great theme, exactly what I was looking for! I just wanted to add something to the sIFR/lightbox issue. I was experiencing the same problem in that the sIFR objects stay on top of lightbox images. There's a simpler fix to it then disabling sIFR completely. All you need to do is add the following line in header.php:
,wmode: 'transparent' });
So it'll look like this:
sIFR.replace(fagocotf, {
selector: '.logo h2'
,css: [ '.sIFR-root { text-align: left; font-weight: bold; color: #c3c5c5; }' ] ,wmode: 'transparent' });

Hey GlamourGaby,
I've used your web theme on one of my websites. It has more than 90,000 posts and I had to adapt it in order to overcome Wordpress performance issues.
The main reason to use your theme was:
1. Simplicity.
2. Nice and clean.
If you take a look to the site you'll see I had to take out the flash fonts, disable comments all over the site and made some adjustments. I'm not a graphic designer, so some of the things I've done might not be good for the site's aesthetics, but they got the job done.
Thanks for the great theme!
